Correct IBM Maximo data with your own AI assistant — safely.
MX Stage is a local-only AI workbench for IBM Maximo. Your AI assistant (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, IBM Bob) loads and fixes the data in a staging sheet on your PC. Every change is diffed and approved by a person before anything is written to Maximo.
How it works
- Load. MX Stage reads Maximo through its JSON API into a work screen in your browser — work orders, assets, specifications, custom tables, any object structure.
- Fix with AI. Ask your AI assistant to find and correct problems. It edits the staged sheet, never Maximo, and records a reason for every change.
- Review. See a cell-by-cell diff: what changed, who changed it (you or the AI) and why. Undo any batch.
- Commit. You press Commit to Maximo yourself. MX Stage writes one record first, checks it, then continues — and stops on conflicts.
Why teams use it
Nothing leaves your PC
MX Stage runs locally. Your Maximo API key stays in the browser tab's memory. There is no MX Stage cloud and no telemetry.
A person approves every write
The AI can load, analyse and edit, but it cannot write to Maximo. Only a person pressing the button in the work screen can.
Made for migrations
Rehearse data fixes on a test environment, grow reusable Skills (step-by-step procedures for the AI), then apply them in production at go-live.
Your AI, your contract
Use the AI assistant your company already approved: Claude Desktop, ChatGPT desktop (Codex or Work mode) or IBM Bob.
Free for testing. Licensed for production writes.

A production environment is the Maximo your organization uses to record day-to-day operations, including a new environment being prepared to replace it. Everything else — development, test, training, demos and migration rehearsals — is a test environment. One license covers everyone in your organization who connects to that production environment.
